Yesterday mom and I decided to have a spontaneous birthday celebration for Elsa. She had her birthday end of September but seeing how Elsa is always traveling back and forth between Sweden and Lux and I was in Greece during her birthday we thought it appropriate to do it again.

Mom and I went shopping for champagne and things to bake the cake and when Elsa and Momo came home quickly just to shower and get changed we surprised Elsa with the cake, champagne and a gift. I tried something new with this cake and I wasn’t sure how it would turn out but the cake was DELICIOUS, everyone loved it. Especially Elsa which made me happy:)

I HAD to try a little piece of the sponge cake layer to see how it tasted with the chocolate on it.. 

1. I melted dark chocolate and spread it on all of the three sponge cake layers.

2. I mashed bananas with a hint of custard sauce on the first layer.

3. On the second layer I put mixed berries and custard sauce/vanilla pudding-ish around.

4. On the top layer I put whipped cream and garnished with kiwi, red currants and tried to write “ELsa 18!” with grated chocolate.
